My Name is Chris Dickson and I will be the Head Coach of the Sarnia-Lambton Jr. Sting U10 AAA Hockey Team for the 2024/25 season.
I am extremely excited for the opportunity to coach your child at the AAA level. I have been out and have seen the talent that the 2015 group has to offer and I can't wait for the tryout phase to begin.
Day 1 of Tryouts
Saturday, April 20th at 12:00pm - 1:30pm at the Pat Stapleton Arena.
On day one of tryouts I will be hosting two 40 minute tryout times. All players and goalies will be split into two groups for tryouts. This tryout will consist of skills.
**Non-parent evaluators and on ice helpers will be evaluating and helping with drills.
Players to attend Group 1 (12:05pm-12:45pm)

Players to attend Group 2 (12:50pm-1:30pm)
***DO NOT let your player leave the dressing room before the first group of players have left the ice. I do not want any players from group two standing on the players bench or waiting on the stairs before group one has completed their tryout. A coach will let the second group know when it's their turn to leave the dressing room and enter the ice.

Please arrive at the arena at least 30 minutes prior to your player's skate time and be sure to bring your permission to skate form. Each player will be given a jersey to wear for all tryouts. Please take the jersey home and be sure to bring it to each tryout.
Day 2 of Tryouts
Sunday, April 21st at 12:00pm - 1:30pm at the Pat Stapleton Arena
This tryout will consist of an exhibition/scrimmage game (black vs yellow). This game will have two official referees and a timekeeper. This exhibition game will consist of three 15 minute period lengths.
*** Please be at the arena at least 30 minutes prior to the exhibition game. You will find your player's name with the team they are playing on taped to the dressing room door which they are to use.
First Exhibition Game
After the second tryout we will then be in the exhibition game phase. The first exhibition game will be an away game played at the Komoka Wellness Centre -- 1 Tunks Lane, Komoka against the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks. The roster for this game will be announced on the U10 web page after Sunday's tryout. If your player is not on the roster they are not required to attend this exhibition game.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday and seeing all these wonderful hockey players displaying their craft on the ice!
